Sadly today was the last meeting of the year.. :[ BUT WAIT, there's always next year, and the year after that, and the year after that and the year after that too! Thanks to everyone who showed up today! The potluck was a huge success! I would know because I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I can assure you that everyone else enjoyed it too! So thanks to those who showed up, and a huge thanks to those who brought food! There will be events in the summer like car washes so stay active and stay in service! These projects will be announced on the Facebook page, text blast and this wonderful site.
Quick update on Relay! There will be a meeting tomorrow (6/10/14) after school in the library. For the relay meeting tomorrow, please bring $10. Due to not paying a single dollar last year, we wanted to change things this year. These 10 bucks will pay for each one of your entry fees.
If you are unable to pay this fee, please to notify Diane ASAP
Today we sent off our wonderful, amazing and beautiful seniors Zyra-Mae Idos, Alex Norsaphangthong, Rose Nguyen, Andrea Francisco, Ashley Lew, Jedell Frigillana, Brenda Nguyen, and Matthew Wo.
Here's a beautiful speech that Sungmin wrote for them.
Hello and congratulations seniors! Today on behalf of the Chief Sealth Key Club, we thank you for your service. In the past four years you've graciously given your time contributing to service projects, and taking responsibility as officers that have led Key Club to serve our home, school, and community in wonderful ways. This world that we all share within every single moment that we breathe and our hearts beat, this world dynamically evolves. Long lived souls peacefully fall into darkness, and new hearts come about to see the light. Crimes are committed and punishment is given, service is given and the world shines brighter. Together each and every single one of you have helped forge the world a more beautiful and brilliant environment through Key Club. However, your departing time with the Chief Sealth Key Club is not the end of your gracious endeavors. Your service and your hearts will continue to thrive wherever you go, as long as you never forget that caring is our way of life. But most importantly, what you should always hold close to your virtues and convictions, is to always understand and know more than just what you have done for Key Club but rather, what Key Club has done for you.
Last thing on our agenda was the potluck and water balloons. Here's what some of our key clubbers said
We started off playing some ice breakers, unlike our normal meetings that have ice breakers at the end. when we were finished we went back in, and gave the seniors in key club a goody ceremony. and FOOD 10/10 would instagram if my phone wasn't stolen.( Richard is considering giving a reward for anyone who finds his iphone 5s) And then we went back out and pelted the officers with water balloons. kris got hit in the balls
Today at Chief Sealth's key club meeting there was a big potluck with lots of great food and then we all headed outside and threw water balloons at the key club officers. It was a really fun sunny afternoon!
Today was the last Key Club meeting of the 2013-2014 year. We had a potluck and whoever brought food were able to throw water balloons at the upcoming 2014-2015 school year officers, Tony, SungMin, Ben, Denise, Kris and David. You could have also bought water balloons for $1 each, but that didn't really work, since everyone just took them out of the bucket and threw them at the officers. Props to the male officers that got water balloons thrown at their crotches and props to Denise for getting her hair wet. Hopefully, we'll see everyone again next year, and congrats to the seniors!
Thanks to Malissa Mang for the videos, Denise Felipe for the Picture and Andrea Francisco for the IG photo.
