Today's meeting was packed with information and volunteering opportunities. Things that came up were dues which are now $15 if you aren't in a sport or just joining. The blood drive is only going to be happening on Friday because not a lot of people signed up. UNICEF and a recap of Open House. Then we ended with Tony's game and poster making.
Those of you who haven't paid yet the dues are now $15 unless if you are just joining or in sports.
This Friday is the Blood Drive! we'll need help tabling during lunch and the day of so sign up ASAP because spots are going fast. If you're planning on donating you need to be at least 16 and weigh at least 115 lbs. Also if you're under 16 you'll need a permission slip which your parent/guardian has to sign in order for you to donate.
UNICEF is here. Our goal is to raise at least $500, that's about $10 per person. The team that raises the most money gets water balloons (one per person) and you have a chance to soak an officer except for the one that was in your group.
Yik with moderation, Yak with consideration.
Open house was somewhat a success. In total we only took care of 2 kids. But we had a blast with those two kids! If you ever get the chance to play hide and seek in the library do it. We had Greg running around for around 6 minutes looking for one kid.
We played Tony's Game. It's a game where we have people come to the front and answer random questions, to get to know each other better. We found out that Sung would most likely be the one to fend off a bear.
After everything that had to be said was said we had people help make posters for the blood drive, cleaning up the closet (clothing drive), and concessions.
